Error description
Certain IA UI operations, for example, opening a data rule, take a long time to complete when the Common Repository has a large number of objects. Problem is due to a Table Scan being done of the Common Objects view in the Repository. XMETA Team has backported a fix from 8.5 to 8.1.1. With the fix in place, "open rule" takes <10 seconds as opposed to minutes.
