Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Information Server 8.0.1 and higher users of the SCD stage. **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Upstream operator partitioning was affecting the number of nodesupdatable lookup was being run on, causing lookups to be missed. This resulted in records being sent down the insert link of SCD when they should not have been. **************************************************************** RECOMMENDATION: Install patch JR34404 This fix is included in 81 FP1 ****************************************************************
Problem conclusion
Updatable lookup will clear any preserve partitioning flags on its input data sets. This will allow lookup to run on the number of nodes it should and not be constrained by other operators.
