Error description
We have implemented a temporary workaround based on finding control-characters in the data. This solution is temporary and should be resolved within the datastage tool. Currently we are unable to locate a way to manipulate the command line options for the nzload utility. Since by default control characters are not accepted by the nzload utility, there should be some way from within datastage to perform this task. Currently we have needed to involve our SA?s to perform an un-supported modification whereas we have moved the nzload utility in the /usr/local/nz/bin utility to be named nzload.call and have created the nzload script below. In our project parameters we have created a variable NZLOAD_PARAMETERS to pass any additional command line options to the nzload utility. We would request a supported solution from IBM to enable loading of control character data via the Netezza utilities (as well as other feature such as changing the null string, etc). This solution should allow for complete manipulation of the nzload command line to adjust some of its feature
