Log Binomial model

Troubleshooting

Problem

Will SPSS Statistics perform maximum likelihood estimation for a generalized linear model with a log link and a binomial distribution assumption?

Resolving The Problem

The GENLIN procedure (Analyze>Generalized Linear Models>Generalized Linear Models in the menus) will fit a log binomial regression model. On the Type of Model tab, specify Custom and select the binomial distribution and log link options. On the Statistics tab check the box Include exponentiated parameter estimates to get relative risk estimates and confidence intervals.
