Error description
This defect was noticed when APAR JR27081 was being opened. DEBUGING NATIVE SQL SP, CAN SEE 128 BYTES STRING EVEN WHEN CHARACTERS REPORTED IN LARGE VARIABLES TO 500 The debug server also ignores the variable length settings value and truncates the variable values to 254 characters. Hence, this APAR needs to be linked to the above APAR JR27081 and both needs to be fixed at the same time.
