Error description

  • When compiling with -qipa, data initialization seems to drop for
    the following test case:

    589: TEST>cat init.c
    int A = 0;
    590: TEST>cat test.c#include <stdio.h>
    extern int A;

    struct s {
      int a;
      int b:20;
      int c:32;
    };

    struct s S1 = { A,1,2};
    struct s S2 = { A,1,2);
    int main() {
      printf("S1=%d %d %d\n",S1.a, S1.b, S1.c);
      printf("S2=%d %d %d\n",S2.a, S2.b, S2.c);

    }

    ======ACTUAL OUTPUT:
    $xlc -+ init.c test.c -qipa
    init.c:
    test.c:
    $./a.out
    S1=0 1 2
    S2=0 0 0

    ======EXPECTED OUTPUT:
    $./a.out
    S1=0 1 2
    S2=0 1 2
