Error description
User install Tuxedo on 32-bit platforms and set TP_MON_NAME = TUXEDO in dbm configuration parameter, then, try to run their Tuxedo client application, but it failes with SQL0998N, reason code = 9, subcode = 2. DB2 LUW V8.2/V9.1 on Linux does not look for the correct Tuxedo shared library: instead of libtux.so, it is looking for libtux. In the db2diag.log, the message "sqloLoadModule, probe:190, dlopen, OSERR: ENOENT (2), DATA #1 : Library name or path, libtux" is dumped. This probe point is the eye-catcher for this APAR. 2007-06-06-14.43.09.466110+540 E122337G621 LEVEL: Error (OS) PID : 5521 TID : 3086972608 PROC : TESTRM INSTANCE: db2inst1 NODE : 000 APPID : *LOCAL.db2inst1.070606054111 FUNCTION: DB2 UDB, oper system services, sqloLoadModule, probe:190 CALLED : OS, -, dlopen OSERR: ENOENT (2) DATA #1 : Library name or path, 6 bytes libtux DATA #2 : shared library load flags, PD_TYPE_LOAD_FLAGS, 4 bytes 0 DATA #3 : String, 130 bytes libtux: ......................................................: ................................................................ ..
Local fix
- copy from <installdir>/lib/libtux.so to <installdir>/lib/libtux and set the same permission.
