Getting "RG menu" for navigation to Rational Rhapsody and Gateway to appear in Rational DOORS

Troubleshooting

Problem

Sometimes after upgrading or new installing Rational Rhapsody or Rational DOORS, the menu entry "RG " to navigate to Rational Rhapsody and Rhapsody Gateway disappears from the menu of the Rational DOORS modules.

Symptom

The "RG <version>" menu entry is not shown in the menu of Rational DOORS modules.

Cause

You want to navigate from objects of a Rational DOORS module to elements in Rational Rhapsody or Rhapsody Gateway.

Diagnosing The Problem

Upgrading or new installing Rational Rhapsody, or upgrading or new installing Rational DOORS can cause this missing menu entry.

Resolving The Problem

The Gateway Addin must be registered in the DOORS registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Telelogic\DOORS\X.X\Config\Addins

or on some systems in

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Telelogic\DOORS\X.X\Config\Addins

The Addins value must contain <Path_to_Rhapsody>\Gateway\config\misc\DOORS\RG

1. At the Run command in Windows, type Regedit to access the registry
