Problem
Attempts to export to Microsoft Excel results in error "OLE Method Failed: OLE Problem" when using IBM Rational DOORS.
Symptom
Error: OLE Method Failed: OLE Problem
Cause
This error is seen when exporting an IBM Rational DOORS module to Microsoft Excel. Rational DOORS will throw OLE errors (mentioned above), when the text of one object in a column is greater than the cell limitation in Microsoft Excel.
Resolving The Problem
This is only a limitation in Rational DOORS by virtue of it being a limitation in Microsoft Excel. A possible workaround/suggestion would be to split the object over more than one cell.
