Error description
When you run IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) in a setup with a third-party authentication product, like IBM Security Access Manager WebSEAL, you configured the IBM BPM endpoint scenario EXTERNAL_CLIENT to point to this third-party authentication product, and you open the Process Admin Console by using a URL that bypasses the IBM WebSEAL server, the browser can't load all web resource. The Process Admin Console looks strange. PRODUCTS AFFECTED IBM Business Process Manager (BPM) Advanced IBM BPM Standard IBM BPM Express
Local fix
Problem summary
Process Admin Console calculates URLs to static web resource files of the web application by using the EXTERNAL_CLIENT scenario key. If you configured EXTERNAL_CLIENT to point to an authenticating reverse proxy server, such as IBM Security Access Manager WebSEAL, requests for these static web resource files might fail when the initial request to Process Admin Console bypassed the reverse proxy server and the user has not yet authenticated to that reverse proxy server.
Problem conclusion
A fix will be available in IBM BPM V8.5.7 cumulative fix 2017.06 that changes the endpoint scenario for static web resources of the Process Admin Console to RELATIVE to prevent the failure.
