Troubleshooting
Problem
Attempts to start an IBM Rational DOORS client results in the license error "The Feature name DOORS with version xxxx.xxxx cannot be found".
Symptom
You can not login to DOORS because you can not obtain the necessary license.
Cause
The following conditions could result in the license error:
- The license file does not have the DOORS license FEATURE
- The license file was modified or edited after it was received from licensing team or downloaded from on-line IBM License Key Center
- Wrong license file or license server being used
Resolving The Problem
To avoid this error, do not modify or edit the license file unless instructed by IBM Rational client support.
Ensure you use an appropriate and updated license file and license server version which is compatible with the version of Rational DOORS being used.
