Question
Can I add the image functionality that exists within the Item Master application?
Answer
Go to 'Application Designer' and access the specific application. In this example, we will use the 'Users' application.
Within the 'Users' application, click on the 'User' tab. Then click on the 'Control Properties' button on the taskbar.
Click on the 'Record Image' and drag the option into the location where you want the image to appear.
Click on the 'Record Image' within the application and click on the 'Control Properties' on the taskbar.
Adjust the height and width of the image and add a label.
Click on 'Select Action' dropdown list and select 'Add/Modify Signature Option'.
Click on 'New Row' and enter Option = 'ITEMIMAGE'. Also specify a Description.
Within 'Add/Modify Signature Option', click on New Row. Add a Signature option of 'SHOWDELETE'
with a Description of 'Show Delete Button'.
Click on 'Select Action' dropdown list and select 'Add/Modify Select Action Menu'
Click on 'New Row' Specify the following:
Element Type = Option
Key Value = ITEMIMAGE
Position = 19
Subposition = 0
Visable? = Checked
Tabs = ALL
Click on 'Save' within 'Application Designer'.
Grant access to the security groups to the specific signature option by going to the 'Security Groups'
application and accessing the MAXADMIN group.Within the MAXADMIN security group, click on
the 'Applications' tab and filter for the USERS application. Within the bottom pane, enable
'Add/Modify Image' and the 'Show Delete Button' option then click on Save.
A relationship is then required between the MAXUSER table and the IMGLIB table.
Go to 'Database Configuration' and access the MAXUSER object. Then click on the 'Relationships' tab.
Click on 'New Row' and specify the following information:
Relationship = IMGLIB
Where clause = refobject='MAXUSER' and refobjectid=:maxuserid
Child Object = IMGLIB
Click on Save.
Go to the Users application and add an image to a record.
