Problem
Cannot run report. The following error appears: The expression is too complex. It has more than 3000 tokens. Error code CRX-API-0018.
Symptom
Attempting to run report results in an error.
Resolving The Problem
Modify the crxConfig.xml file found in the <install_dir>\configuration folder. This file is set to read only.
1) In the properties of the file, remove the Read-Only attribute.
2) Open the file in a text editor and increase the <CRX_MAX_TOKEN_LIMIT> value from the default 3000.
If the cognos environment is multi server environment then this setting must be updated on all servers.
