IBM Support

"Target client" field is not displayed in the WebSphere Application Server Administration Console V7, V8.0 and V8.5 (RFH Header)

Troubleshooting

Problem

You were using the field "Target client" for a JMS Destination (such as a Queue) in the WebSphere Application Server Administration Console V6. After you migrate to V7 or V8.0 or V8.5, you are not able to find this field or anything that resembles it.

Resolving The Problem

The field "Target client" was not deleted in the WebSphere Application Server Administration Console V7, V8.0 and V8.5. However, it was renamed and the format was changed.

In short:

- WAS V6 Target Client = MQ
corresponds to
WAS V7, V8.0, V8.5: (Unselected) Append an RFH Header version 2 header to reply messages

- WAS V6 Target Client = JMS
corresponds to
WAS V7, V8.0, V8.5: (Selected) Append an RFH Header version 2 header to reply messages
