How do you restore an IBM Rational DOORS Project or Module archive?
Answer
If you want to restore a Project archive from your client machine:
- Click File > Restore > Project to open the restore window.
- Type the file name that contains the archived project in the file name field, or Click the Browse button to locate the file.
- Click OK.
If you want to restore a Project archive from the server machine:
- Click File > Restore > Project to open the restore window.
- Select Restore from server.
Note: This is only visible if your database manager has set up DOORS to allow server archives.
- Type the file name that contains the project archive you want to restore in the server file name field.
Note: You cannot browse to files on the server, so you must know the name of the archive, and the path location on the server.
- Click OK.
If you want to restore a module archive from your client machine:
- Click File > Restore > Module to open the restore window.
- Type the file name that contains the archived module in the file name field, or Click the Browse button to locate the file.
- Click OK.
If you want to restore a module archive from the server machine:
- Click File > Restore > Module to open the restore window.
- Select Archive on server.
Note: This option is only visible if your database manager has set up DOORS to allow server archives.
- Type the file name of the module archive you want to restore in the server file name field.
Note: You cannot browse to files on the server, so you must know the name of the archive, and the path location on the server.
- Click OK.
