Problem
The normal DOORS login window comes up when starting the DOORS client using the command line switch "–interop –data 36677@localhost –brokerHost localhost –brokerPort 61616" for starting Rational DOORS Web Access InterOp
Symptom
When starting Rational DOORS Web Access InterOp, getting the DOORS login window instead of the following screen:
Cause
If the switch is copy/pasted from the manual, the hyphen in -interop does not paste as a hyphen (dash) symbol. It pastes as something else (possibly an em- or en-dash)
Resolving The Problem
To resolve this, type the -interop part manually in the Target field as described in the following steps:
- Copy/Paste the DOORS client shortcut icon on the desktop and rename the icon to 'InterOp'
- Right-click on it and go to Properties-> Shortcut tab
- In the ‘Target’ field, leave a space after "C:\Program Files\Telelogic\DOORS 9.x\bin\doors.exe" and type –interop manually along with the rest of the command
- Launching this icon would now start the Rational DOORS Web Access InterOp instead of normal DOORS client
