Problem
There is no 'Delete' button available in the 'Discussions' tab of the Object/Module properties even when logged in as the Administrator in Rational DOORS
Symptom
From the Object/Module Properties -> ‘Discussions’ tab, the ‘Delete’ button is missing
Cause
The option will not be available if the DOORS server has not been configured to exclude DOORS 9.0 clients.
This is not documented in the help and has been logged as a documentation correction
Resolving The Problem
The option will be available after we set the minimum client version for the database by following these steps:
- Login as the Administrator or Database Manager
- Right-click Rational DOORS Database icon, go to Properties
- Go to Login Policy
- Set minimum client version to 9.2.0.0
- Click ok
- Restart the client
- Go to the Discussions window for the module/object and you should now see the option to delete a discussion
