Problem
Users would not be able to delete some linksets from a Link module in DOORS.
Symptom
In some Link Modules, Users would be able to see all the linksets in the drop-down list, However, users would not be able to select or delete some linksets from that list.
Cause
If the source module and/or the target module containing the links is deleted and not purged then the linkset still exists in its Link module. However, no operation can be performed on it.
Resolving The Problem
Users may have to follow anyone of the following methods depending on their requirement to resolve the above stated issue.
- If the user no longer needs the deleted source module or the target module which have the links representing the linkset in question, then purging the source module and/or the target module will delete the linkset/s between them automatically from the Link module.
Note: Purging will permanently delete the module from the database.
or
- If the user just wants to delete the Linkset but do want to purge the source module or the target module which have the links representing the linkset in question, then user must first undelete the source module and the target module (which ever is in deleted state), then delete the linkset from the Link module. Later user can move the source module and/or the target module to its previous state.
