Question

How to populate an attribute column from one module to another when there are links between the two modules.

Answer

To populate an attribute column from one module to another when links exist:

  1. With two formal modules, A and B.
  2. Create links between them
  3. Run the Analysis Wizard with specific
  4. Select only those attributes you want to export
  5. Clear Recursive
  6. Finish

Now you can convert Layout DXL to Attribute DXL

If you want to modify the order of the attributes in the export set you can edit the DXL:

  1. Right click the column and chose Properties
  2. Browse
  3. Current (you need to have Edit DXL rights to do this)
  4. Select and copy the DXL script
  5. Paste the DXL script into a text editor and edit it
  6. Create a new column with Layout DXL
  7. Choose New and paste the edited DXL
