The element footprint may not be updated since the element is not generated when brought to the entry stage of the target environment. Local fix : The workaround is to have the element footprint rebuilt, i.e to generate the element to have the dependencies resolved. 04.The data being sent to the RDz client sometimes has some bad characters due to the fact that the storage area that contains the list of dependencies is not initialized. Local fix: The copybook is found using the Extract to remote project and editing there. 05.The RDz Endevor RAM is specifying "Y" in the "Move with history" option when invoking the CA Endevor Transfer Element API. This causes all versions to also be transfered to the target stage. 06.When the empty Endevor element is opened in browse mode, the RDz Endevor RAM needs to handle the empty element condition and not give an error. 07.fekfivpj (JMON IVP) ends with RC 2001 on the Connect step when using IPv4 Connect failed, rc= 2001 Syntax error in RXSOCKET parameter list 2 08.CRASUBMT and CRASUBCA fail when a long argument string is used * EXEC 'SYSA.RDZ901.CUST.CNTL(CRASUBCA)' '5302 420 EXIT=SYSA.RDZ901.SFEKSAMP(CRAEXIT) CLIENT=UNKNOWN... INPUT NOT ACCEPTED, LENGTH EXCEEDS 80 CHARACTERS - REENTER LAST LINE: 09.CARMA startup fails when using CLIST startup method with the new (8 parameters) format. fekfivpc.log and rsecomm.log show the following trace message INFO com.ibm.carma.rse.server.transport.CARMASocketServer$1: REXX output: FEK.#CUST.CNTL(CRASUBMT)' is using the old format stderr head: //'FEK.#CUST.CNTL\(CRASUBMT\)': EDC5047I An invalid file name was specified as a function parameter. (errno2=0xC00B028E) Due to this faulty processing, CARMA always expects the CLIST to use the old format and does not provide all arguments the CLIST expects. The next lines in the log show that the startup fails because of this. ERROR: RC 560 for EXEC ' FEK.#CUST.CNTL(CRASUBMT)' '2731 ' ENTER POSITIONAL PARAMETER CRAPRM2 - MISSING POSITIONAL PARAMETER CRAPRM2 PROC 8 CRAPRM1 CRAPRM2 CRAPRM3 CRAPRM4 CRAPRM5 CRAPRM6 CRAPRM7 CRAPRM8 /usr/lpp/rdz/bin/carma.startup.rex ending with RC 15 workaround: Correct REXX /usr/lpp/rdz/bin/carma.startup.rex by removing the Escape( and ) on line 225: call bpxwunix 'head -l1 "//'Escape(Clist)'"',,stdout.,stderr. change to: call bpxwunix 'head -l1 "//'Clist'"',,stdout.,stderr. 10.submit fails when using CARMA batch submit and then DSN has a $ sign and CRASUBxx uses the new 8-argument startup string
Problem conclusion
01.Constant value for parameters now properly passed to the client 02.RDz client will now pass full version information to the host 03.The RDz Endevor RAM did not provide the users with the ability to specify whether they want to invoke the Gneerate Processor during the Enhanced Edit. 04.The RDz Endevor RAM passes the exact size of the storage that contains the list of dependencies. If that size is smaller than that of the target field, the residual content of the target field may contain some bad characters. 05.The RDz Endevor RAM needs to specify "N" for the "Move with history" option of the CA Endevor Transfer Element API. 06.The RDz Endevor RAM needs to handle the empty element condition and not give an error. 07.corrected parameter list 08.The CLIST wrapper interpreted the continuation character meant for TSO, which could bring the CARMA startup command past the JCL limit of 80 characters. CRASUBxx is updated so CLIST will no longer interpret the continuation character. 09.carma.startup.rex is corrected 10.DSN with $ is now correctly processed
