Error description
JCL Editor in IBM DEVELOPER FOR Z SYSTEMS (IDz) v14.1.7 shows the unexpected error: â DSNAME expected instead of this entryâ when parsing a JCL like: //MODUS SET MODUS='B64D' ... //SYSIN DD DDNAME=&MODUS.IN //B64DIN DD * Error is raised on SYSIN DD.
Local fix
Use a syntax like //SYSIN DD DDNAME=B64DIN
Problem summary
In JCL editor, DD operation line will return warning when DDNAME is supplied with a symbolic value or a symbolic concatenated with a string. This is theoretically and grammarly correct but warning is due to the missing grammar rule.
Problem conclusion
Added the grammar rules so that warning will not show up.
Temporary fix
