Error description

  • This APAR provides two enhancements of the Smart Reorg utility.
    1. New event 'POLICY.ACTION.REORG' for the RC_CHANGE control
    statement to specify a user-defined return code when the
    Conditional Reorganization Support Service (CRSS) determines
    that the database reorganization is necessary.
    2. New control statement UNLOADONLY=YES to run the Unload
    utility only without the Reload utility.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR provides two new control *
    * statements for the Smart Reorg utility: *
    *                      - RC_CHANGE=(POLICY.ACTION.REORG,nn)    *
    *                      - UNLOADONLY=YES                        *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
    This APAR enables the Smart Reorg utility to run the Conditional
    Unload. For that, two new control statements are added:
    1. RC_CHANGE=(POLICY.ACTION.REORG,nn)
       specifies to change the return code to nn when the
       Conditional Reorg Support Service determines the database
       reorganization is necessary and it has not performed yet.
       This control statement can be specified with the CONDREORG
       control statement.

    2. UNLOADONLY=YES
       specifies to call the Unload task only to produce an unload
       data set that is specified in the DFSURGU1 DD statement.
       The Reload task is not called.
       The database must be read-only while being unloaded.

    This maintenance requires the following maintenance:
      -APAR PH12333 of IMS High Performance Unload V1.2
       (FMID=H1IN120)
