Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Inefficiency discovered in deployment * * manager startup * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** A section of WebSphere Application Server code responsible for creating a list of application classes uses a linked list. To determine if a class is already added to the list, the list must be traversed.
Problem conclusion
The code has been updated to use a HashSet which will help reduce deployment manager startup time. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.16 and 9.0.5.1.
