Error description

  • Given a component template with an environment property
    definition, create a component from it. On that component,
    create an environment property definition of the same name,
    which overrides the inherited definition from its template. Upon
    deleting the definition on the component, it will not revert
    back to the template's definition.

    1) Create component template (temp) with an environment property
    definition (envPropDef) with default value "value-from-temp"
    2) Create component (comp) from temp
    3) Create a new environment property definition on comp
    "envPropDef" with default value "value-from-comp"
    4) Create shell step on comp with script: "echo
    ${p:environment/envPropDef}"
    5) Deploy comp and it will succeed with output "value-from-comp"
    6) Delete "envPropDef" from comp (not temp)
    7) Deploy comp again and it will fail because it is unable to
    resolve ${p:environment/envPropDef}
