PH05348: IMS CHANGE CAPTURE ENHANCEMENT CAUSING IMS STAP INSTALLATION FAILURES.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After the installation of the IMS Change Capture Enhancement
  detailed in APARS:
  PI99613 for IMS V13.
  PH00727 for IMS V14.
  PH00728 for IMS V15.
  The installation of the DEDB hook for the IMS STAP will fail
  during IMS Control Region start-up and issue the following two
  messages:
  AUII049E - DEDB CALL ANALYSIS INIT FAILURE  RC=10
  AUII018E - STAP FOR IMS Vx.x INITALIZATION FAILED
  An ABEND S878-14 may also be issued due to a negative length
  STORAGE OBTAIN request while attempting to provide pertinent
  information regarding the failure via a dynamically allocated
  AUI$NAP SYSOUT DD statement.
  This APAR will correct both issues. The net result of these
  failures is that DLI calls made against DEDB's will not be
  audited. DLI calls made against Full-Function data bases
  (including HALDBs) will continue to be audited normally.
