Error description
Documentation updates for Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS . 1. The text of messages EQQE146W, EQQE144E, EQQE145W about output collector processing is misleading. In these messages change "might be lost" to "will be lost if any additional zcentric jobs are run before the problem is corrected". . 2. In the TWSz 9.2 Messages and Codes manual, messages EQQZ022W, EQQZ023W, EQQZ025E all refer to "EQQSSCMD" instead of "EQQSSCML" (which is the specific value for the 9.2 release) or "EQQSSCMx" (if this is intended to be a generic value that is different for each release). . 3. The TWSz manuals do not explain that in the JCL for TRACKER and CONTROLLER started tasks, the DSN= of the EQQPARM DD card must not include the parmlib MEMBERNAME. Instead, the main parmlib member for TRACKER and CONTROLLER is specified in the PARM= keyword of the EXEC PGM=EQQMAJOR statement. For example > > //T91C EXEC PGM=EQQMAJOR,REGION=0M,PARM='CONP',TIME=1440 > If no membername is specified on the EXEC card, the default membername STDPARMS is used, and if this member does not exist, message EQQZ010E is issued: > > EQQZ010E MEMBER STDPARMS CANNOT BE FOUND IN PARAMETER > LIBRARY > and the task immediately terminates. . The PLANNING AND INSTALLATION manual, STEP 11 - DEFINING THE INITIALIZATION STATEMENTS, should document where the EQQPARM membername is specified... in the PARM= of the EXEC statement for TRACKERs and CONTROLLERs, and in the EQQPARM DD for all other started tasks and EQQBATCH jobs. It would also be helpful to have a comment to this effect in the sample procs in SEQQSAMP. . Further, the documentation of the OPCOPTS initialization statement in the CUSTOMIZATION AND TUNING manual should state A) Name of the PARMLIB member containing the OPCOPTS statement must be in the PARM= field of the EXEC card of the CONTROLLER and TRACKER PROCS B) If no PARM= is specified on the EXEC card, then a default membername of STDPARMS is used. 4. The documentation of the EVENT TRIGGERED TRACKING function in the TWSz MANAGING THE WORKLOAD manual, chapter 21-RUNNING EVENT DRIVEN WORKLOAD AUTOMATION, topic - AUTOMATICALLY ADDING AN OCCURRENCE TO THE CURRENT PLAN, should explicitly state that only type "A" Applications are supported. A type "G" (GROUP) application cannot be specified in an ETT definition, and a single ETT TRIGGER can add only ONE APPLICATION (up to 255 operations) into the Current Plan. (5) IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler for z/OS Planning and Installation Version 9 Release 1 SC32-1264-08 On page 142 Chapter: Step 22. Activating support for the Java utilities There is reference in step 3 to "Make sure you applied FMID JWSZ603" FMID JWSZ603 is the E2E enablement FMID for TWS V8R6. It must be JWSZ913, instead.
