Error description

  • During the Install process of the DB2 Administration Tool for
z/os specifying the WLM Environment Name in Panel CCQPDB2 DB2
Parameters generates duplicates values in Template ADBCUST for
the PRODUCT PARAMETERS (GLOBAL SETTINGS) and the DB2 Parameters
for the WLM Environnment. For example,
    hlq.llq(A0CUSTAA)

    ****************************************************************
The following issues have been resolved:

    1. Blanking out the value for the following input fields from
panel CCQPPRD 'Product Parameters' appears as :ADBCT.NO and
:ADBTE.NO in the generated job template ADBCUST, respectively
in the Product Parameters section (:NICK.*) which is misleading
even though the default value "NO" is correct:

    Enable DB2 Cloning Tool . . . . . . . . . ___ (YES, NO)
    Enable DB2 Table Editor . . . . . . . . . ___ (YES, NO)

    Fix:
To alleviate confusion, a blank input value is no longer
allowed for these two Product Parameters input fields.

    2. A blank value is allowed for the following
    DB2 Parameters input fields:

    Enable DB2 Cloning Tool . . . . . . . . . ___ (YES, NO)
    Enable DB2 Table Editor . . . . . . . . . ___ (YES, NO)

However, in job template ADBCUST, the comment records for the
two input fields does not mention that a blank value is
    allowed.

    Fix:
Associated comment records for the DB2 Parameters input fields
have been updated with information stating that a blank value
    is allowed.

    3. The following Product Parameters and DB2 Parameters input
field descriptions are misleading and can suggest that
creating the Change Management (CM) database is optional
    when it's not:

    Enable Change Management . . . . . . . . ___ (YES, NO)

    Fix:
The input field description, field-level help, and comment
records in job template ADBCUST have been updated to better
    describe its purpose/function.
