Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V8.5. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Certain operations on a copied object * * graph were causing it to be fully * * materialized. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** In certain scenarios, a copied object graph would be fully materialized and thus cause a performance overhead.
Problem conclusion
An optimization is now in place that avoid a full materialization of a copied object graph during certain operations. This materialization is delayed until it reaches a scenario where it is actually needed. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.3.
