PI14329: WHEN PROJECT STAGE IS DEVELOPMENT, MULTIPLE VALIDATION MESSAGES DON'T DISPLAY IN A JSF 2.0 PORTLET PROJECT

Error description

When project stage is Development, the first validation message
displays in UI and the second validation message displays in
the console in a JSF 2.0 portlet project.

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a JSF 2.0 portlet project with     *
*                      javax.faces.PROJECT_STAGE set as        *
*                      Development in the web.xml is           *
*                      deployed the first validation message   *
*                      is displayed in the UI while other      *
*                      validation message are displayed on     *
*                      the console.                            *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

The JSF 2.0 portlet bridge code needs to be updated to add a
check if javax.faces.PROJECT_STAGE is set as Development in
the web.xml, and render all unhandled faces messages in the UI.

Problem conclusion

The JSF 2.0 Portlet Bridge was updated to render all unhandled
faces messages when project stage is development.

The fix will not be active until the following context-param
is added and its value is set as true and
javax.faces.PROJECT_STAGE is set as Development in web.xml:

 <param-value>true</param-value>

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.0.0.9 and 8.5.5.3.  Please refer to the
