Error description
When running the UNIX command "ls -l" as a member of the IBM Rational ClearCase VOBs additional group the output is incorrect. e.g. "?--------- ? ? ? ? filename" This happens when the ClearCase view server is 8.0.1.x and the user does not have read permissions on the VOB root directory. This behaviour can appear random due to mvfs caching which would allow a user that would usually receive the broken output to see the correct attributes and permissions if using a view for a user that is in the VOB's primary group. There is no other impact of this type of usage. WORKAROUND: 1. change the permissions of the VOB root directory from 770 2. Do not upgrade view server to 8.0.1.x if the site is using 770 permissions
