Error description
Types behave in different ways when using DXL, and it may be good to document that in more detail. Specifically the behaviour of skip lists is different to that of buffers when they are deleted. Skip list are assigned to null, but buffers are not. One knock-on effect of this is that checks for null skip lists produce DXL errors, so explicit null assignment is required. The documentation for the delete() perms for each do actually suggest this difference is present.
