PI09072: 0C4 ABEND WHEN AIICMSM ATTEMPTS TO UPDATE THE META DATA CONTROL BLOCK WHEN NO ADDRESS PROVIDE AND INSTEAD UPDATES RANDOM STORAGE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The TCP Server called AIICMSM to locate the message's AIITCP
  segment.
  The AIICMSM caller may provide either the message's address or
  the address of the message's meta data (a control block
  describing the message).
  In the failing instance, the caller passed message's address.
  After locating the requested segment, AIICMSM updates the meta
  data.
  It attempts to do this even if the caller did not provide the
  meta data's address.
  The result is a store to a random storage location and the
  subsequent S0C4.
