Copy and Paste an IBM Rational DOORS module does not reset the baseline numbers

Question & Answer

Question

After using Copy and Paste to copy an IBM Rational DOORS module, the baseline number is not reset even though the baselines are not copied. Should the numbering then restart at zero?

Cause

When a module is copied, it is the current version of the module that is copied and in its current state. So, the baseline number is not reset to zero. It is not possible to change this behavior.

Answer

To create a copy of a module and start the version number from zero click Tools > Functions > Copy Objects tool.
