Protocols that are used by IBM Rational DOORS

Question & Answer

Question

What Protocols are used by IBM Rational DOORS?

Answer

Rational DOORS client communication with the Rational DOORS database server, and with FlexLM license server components use the TCP network protocol.

Communication between the Rational DOORS database server and Rational DOORS client machines uses the Rational DOORS database protocol over TCP/IP. This protocol is a proprietary client/server communication mechanism fine-tuned for exchanging Rational DOORS flat file type data.
