How do we set the Configuration Management tool as Synergy to be accesed by Rhapsody?

Question & Answer

Question

How do we set the Configuration Management tool as Synergy to be accesed by Rhapsody?

Answer

Issue:
While using Rhapsody with Synergy as the CM tool, a popup saying "No Configuration Management tool is set" displays when a user tries to check out a file/element.

Cause:
The properties controlling the Configuration Management Tool are not set.

Fix:
Setting up the Configuration Management tool is controlled be the following properties:
ConfigurationManagement:General:UseSCCtool
ConfigurationManagement:General:RunCMToolCommand

The UseSCCtool property specifies whether the standard SCC interface between Rhapsody and your CM tool is used. Note that when you use the SCC interface, all of the batch mode command properties are unused. Set this value to "Yes" if you are using SYNERGY as your CM tool. Otherwise, use the CMTool property to select the tool you are using.
(Default = No)

The RunCMToolCommand property specifies the command to execute the CM tool. This command is tied to a user-defined button.(Default = empty File)

Command to invoke synergy with multiple clients will be:
ccm start -m
