How to Integrate Rhapsody with VxWorks 6.2?
Answer
Below are the steps to setup the integration:
1. Open Workbench
2. Build a VxWorks Image project
a. Click on File-->New-->VxWorks Image Project
b. In the pop up window enter the name of the project. Click on Next.
c. Select BSP = simpc and Toolchain = diab, click on Finish
d. Under the 'Project Navigator' right click on the project name and click on Build Project.

d. Under the 'Project Navigator' right click on the project name and click on Build Project.
3. Start the Target Server
a. Under the 'Target Manager' right click on 'default(localhost), click on New->Connection.
b. In the pop up window select 'Windriver VxWorks Simulator Connection' click on Next.
c. Select the Boot File Name as Custom Simulator and click on browse and navigate to the project location->default->vxworks.
d. Click on 'Advanced Boot Parameter Options'
e. Select Boot Device = SIMNET and rename the Target Name = Vxsim, click on Ok.
f. Click on Finish

4. Create a small 'Hello World' Project in Rhapsody
5. Set the Environment and build the project
a. Right click on Default Config, click on settings->Envoirnment and select the VxWorks62diab as the compiler.
b. Click on Code->Generate, this will generate the C/C++ files for the model.
c. Build the Project, Code->Build.

6. Connect to the Target Server
a. Click on Code->Target->Connect
b. Enter the Target Server name. Click on OK.

7. Download the executable to the Target Server
Click on Code->Target->Download, Rhapsody will download the executable to the the running Target Server.
