Why does the connection fail even though the VxWorks Target Server is running?
Answer
Host connects to server using WTX protocol.
WTXapi40.dll is responsible from host end to establish this connection.
In certain scenarios the Host will not be able to connect to the Target Server if the DLL file is missing or path is incorrect.
The WTXapi40.dll is located under
C:\WindRiver\workbench-2.4\foundation\4.0.7\x86-win32\bin
The solution is to update the WTXapi40.dll path in the Environment Variable->PATH
This would help the host to establish the connection with the running server.
