Error description

  • When customer has selected CPU Parallelism with 'Y' during
    installation, i.e. the COLLECTCPUPARALLEL=Y parameter (CCP=Y)
was set, the PE Server code issues a START TRACE (ACCTG)
CLASS(1,2,3,7,8) independent of customers desire and collects
class 2, 3, 7, or 8 times in addition. This can cause DB2
    performance degradation.
The PE server PESERVER code will be changed to issue a START
TRACE (ACCTG) CLASS(1) only. However if class 2, 3, 7,
or 8 was started by another trace (ACCTG or MONITOR) the
additional data will be populated to CCP as well. Therefore the
user can turn on the other classes to get the package detail,
    for example, if desired.
    **NOTE**
Because the Accounting and Monitor trace classes are equivalent
to each other and they are starting additional DB2 internal
processing which will provide then the details to all started
trace destinations, it is independent where the customer starts
the specific trace classes. The client user may decide to
define the granularity of accounting data class 2, 3, 7, or 8
either via starting the Accounting trace for SMF, or for
NTH, or via the (manually) entered START TRACE(MON) command.
That means every other Accounting or MONITOR trace, even
if started with Class(1), will receive the same level of
    granularity.
