  servlet mappings of the same.

  When processing a request, the WebContainer recognizes servlet
  mappings to "*" as the same as servlet mappings to "/*". The
  WebContainer does not recognize mappings to filters in the
  same way, as a filter mapping to "*" is ignored.
  

Problem conclusion

• The WebContainer code was modified to recognize filter
  mappings to "*" as being a mapping to "/*".
  Set the new WebContainer custom property
  com.ibm.ws.webcontainer.mapFiltersToAsterisk to true to enable
  this behavior. This custom property is not case sensitive.
