Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users IBM WebSphere Application Server * * * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Classloading errors may occur when an * * isolated shared library is associated * * with a server. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** The application server sets an unexpected parent reference on a library classloader that supports a shared library that is configured as both isolated and associated to the server as described in the following Knowledge Center topic. https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SSAW57_9.0.0/com. ibm.websphere.nd.multiplatform.doc/ae/tcws_sharedlib_server.html Classloading errors will occur whenever the library classloader attempts to load classes made visible by the WebSphere OSGi classloader network and the WebSphere extensions clasloader.
Problem conclusion
Apply APAR PI91331 to ensure the application server sets the expected parent reference on any library classloader that supports a shared library configured as isolated and is also associated to the server. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 9.0.0.11 and 8.5.5.15.
