Error description

  • Enterprise COBOL V4.2 and earlier produced message
    MSGIGYOP3094-W:
There may be a loop from the "PERFORM" statement at "PERFORM
    (line X)" to itself.
Enterprise COBOL Vx.x does not produce this message. The
compiler did not emit the message for looping PERFORM
statements because the compiler produced many extraneous
messages. The compiler will be fixed to display a message when
there may be loop from a PERFORM statement to itself, for
programs that do not use CICS exception handling.
