PI88299: ABENDS0C4 IN IOHZMCA

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• IOHZCMA creates a name list of target resources for command
  processing based on the contents of the resource update list.
  The list creation field is prepared for each resource type, and
  the maximum number of resource names that can be stored is 12.
  If it exceeds 12, IOHZCMA repeats list creation processing and
  command processing. However, the size of the list creation field
  is short by 1 byte, so if IOHZCMA processes 12 or more resources
  of the same type, the name list address at the top of the next
  list creation field is broken and ABENDS0C4 occurs.
  

Local fix

• A workaround is to divide the IOHGEN members selected at
  IOHCLIST step into two groups of 11 members and execute.

  ABENDS0C4 may occur to IOHZCMA or IOHZCMB because of internal
  logic error if you execute the batch update list utility
  (IOHBLIST) or ISPF (option 4 (INSTALL) from the IMS HP Sysgen
  Tools Primary Options menu) in order to install the resource
  update list which has following conditions:
  1. Updating 12 or more program definitions and transaction
  definitions.
  2. Reloading 12 or more ACBLIB PSB-type members without using
  ACBLIB online change and updatung transaction definitions.
  3. Updating 12 or more transaction definitions and fast path
  route code definitions.
  4. Updating 12 or more fast path route code definitions and
  database definitions.
  5. Updating 12 or more fast path route code definitions and
  reloading ACBLIB DBD-type member without using ACBLIB online
  change.
  

Problem conclusion
