The transactions run without problems but these errors continue
    to come out.
    .
A CICS task starts, and because DEBUGTOOL=YES is specified, DP
domain issues a FC read to the CADP repository. The region has
defined the repository files as REMOTE - connected through
IPIC... so the FC request goes out through IS. IS asks PG if
there is a DFHTRANSACTION channel. PG sees that there are no
PLCBs (because we are so early in the life of the transaction)
and raises the Severe Error. If you look at this TASK in the
PG Domain it looks like so.

IS should not be attempting to send DFHTRANSACTION to the
remote system on a Function Shipped File Control request.

    * RECOMMENDATION: .                                            *
    ****************************************************************
A CICS transaction starts and, before invoking any application
program, issues a Function Ship request to a remote region
    which is connected through IPIC.
In the reported error, the Function Ship request was a
File Control STARTBR (start browse) on behalf of DP domain
because the CICS region was configured with the system
initialization parameter DEBUGTOOL set to YES.
IS domain asks PG domain if the transaction has a DFHTRANSACTION
channel - with the intention of sending it across the link.
PG domain sees that it has been called at a point where it has
not yet invoked any application code and reports the situation
    as a Severe Error - DFHPG0002 (CODE X'1709').
IS domain should not be attempting to send the DFHTRANSACTION
channel across the link for a File Control request.
DFHTRANSACTION should only be sent on Distributed Program Link
    (DPL) requests.

Problem conclusion

  • DFHISIS has been changed to prevent it from shipping the
DFHTRANSACTION channel on requests that are not for DPL
    processing.

The CICS Knowledge Center and the CICS 5.3 Application
Programming Guide ( SC34-7401-00 ) page 270 will be updated.
In the section, "The transaction channel DFHTRANSACTION"
the following sentences will be added:
"Transaction channels are shipped on DPL requests.
They are not shipped on other function shipped requests
so are not available to exits on the target region."
