Problem summary
A performance regression in the Retrieve Job dialog was unintentionally introduced as part of another APAR fix. When the dialog is used to do a query that yields a large set of jobs, for each result, a duplicate job query is triggered causing the dialog to appear unresponsive.
Problem conclusion
A API had been introduced for finding a job by first checking a cache, then doing a remote query when not present in the cache. The Retrieve Job function was using that API for each result that came back from the initial query but because those initial results were not yet cached, subsequent queries were triggered. The fix for this is to instead use another API that only checks the cache. The problem listed in this APAR has been resolved with IBM Rational Developer for z Systems V9.5.1.5 Fix Pack which is available from the Recommended Fixes support download page: http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=2294&uid=swg27006335
