    ****************************************************************
While the underlying cause is unknown, some failed SSL
    handshakes
can cause high CPU usage to appear in httpd processes. In these
cases, the mustgather will show threads calling recv()
    repeatedly
with secure_soc_init() in the backtrace. strace/truss output
    will
be very large and also show many calls to recv().

Problem conclusion

  • The circumventions first provided in PI50937 were greatly improv
and configuration via Apache directives instead of environment
    variables was added.

Users must still opt-in to this circumvention with
    "SSLRecvLoopMitigation ON". The IHS_USE_RECVLOOP_PTHREAD_EXIT
environment variable is still accepted but is deprecated.

If the circumvention is triggered, messages with the prefix
    "PI50937" are issued.

This fix is targetted for IHS fixpacks:
     - 9.0.0.4
     - 8.5.5.12
     - 8.0.0.14
