Error description
There are two issues: 1. The incorrect reason code MQRC=2 (????), in the CSQX038E message is caused by the the inserts for the error message being set in the incorrect order. This APAR will fix the message but not what is causing the message to be issued. In this case the CSQX038E message was issued because the queue was not defined. The CLUS=1 keyword for CSQWDPRD, added by PI57379, is producing unexpected output. It looks fine for CSQXDPRD. Some of the cluster objects may have garbage output along with rfxLINK failed from structure at at ptrChin(7D74FAC4) ptrQmgr(5BA18AC4) The issue is seen when formatting a cluster cache which has more than 1 cache block.

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS Version 8 * * Release 0 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When a QMGR is in a cluster, message * * CSQX038E produced for being unable to * * put to SYSTEM.INTER.QMGR.FANREQ may * * contain an incorrect MQRC value. * * * * Additionally the CLUS=1 dump formatter * * option may show errors when run for a * * QMGR asid. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Message CSQX038E should contain the MQCC and MQRC values from the failed put. However when the QMGR is in a cluster, CSQX038E is issued for being unable to put to SYSTEM.INTER.QMGR.FANREQ, the MQRC and MQCC values may not correctly show the reason for the failure and appear to be incorrect. This will also result in the MQRC text value in the message to be incorrect, i.e showing '(????)' at the end of the message. Using the CLUS=1 option in the CSQWDPRD formatter may show errors, when formatting some QMGR dumps.
Problem conclusion
The generated CSQX038E message in this case has been corrected to output the correct values for MQCC and MQRC, and resulting in the MQRC text also being correct. The CLUS=1 option in the dump formatter has been altered to remove the errors seen. 000Y CMQXRFIC CSQ7CBXC CSQ7VTBL
