PI74211: DB2 OBJECT COMPARISON TOOL FOR Z/OS - DROP OF TRIGGER GENERATED BUT NOT LISTED IN THE COMPARISON REPORT

Error description

• When comparing source with target DB and only a table on the
  target contains a TRIGGER, a DROP of the trigger is generated
  by the compare but this is not listed in the COMPARISON REPORT.

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of DB2 Object Comparison Tool          *
  *                 for z/OS who use the Object Compare          *
  *                 function to compare the source and           *
  *                 target with additional triggers on the       *
  *                 target only.                                 *
  *                                                              *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: 1 - The Object compare report did not   *

  *                      "Trigger .. not found on source         *
  *                      Trigger.. will be dropped"              *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  1 - When comparing the source and target with an additional
  triggers on the target only, the Object compare report did
  not mention the following:
  
  "Trigger .. not found on source
  Trigger.. will be dropped"
  
  2 - On panel GOC5RO, when choosing option "Object
  count report = Yes", the COMPARISON COUNTS REPORT
  did not update the drop trigger count.
  

Problem conclusion

• Problems have been resolved.
