Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server using a WebSphere Developer * * Tools (WDT) generated cachespec.xml. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Servlet caching cannot parse a WDT * * generated cachespec.xml. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** WDT generates a cachespec.xml based on a schema, cachespec.xsd. Traditionally, servlet caching can only parse a Document Type Definition (DTD) based cachespec.xml, cachespec.dtd. Parsing errors occur with a WDT generate cachespec.xml.
Problem conclusion
Servlet caching has added support for WDT generated cachespec.xml based on the cachespec.xsd schema. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.5.5.12 and 9.0.0.3.
