PK31656: PWH CREATION FAILS FOR 8 CHAR SERVER USERID. DSN9013I -SDH1 KEYWORD 'UTILITY'...EXCEEDS ALLOWABLE LENGTH

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If a 8 char userID is used for the OM Server, PWH creation fails
  because a generated DB2 command to terminate an utility failed.
  The DB2 command is
    -TERM UTILITY(SDHPMUSE.SDH1DM1P)
  The error messages are:
  DSN9013I  -SDH1 KEYWORD 'UTILITY' PARAMETER 'SDHPMUSE.SDH1DM1'
  EXCEEDS ALLOWABLE LENGTH OF 16
  DSN9023I  -SDH1 DSN9SCND '-TERM ' ABNORMAL COMPLETION
  DB2 can not handle such long termination statements.

  *                 space name is desired for Performance        *

Problem conclusion

• When an 8 character OMEGAMON server user ID and an 8 character
  Performance Warehouse address space name is specified the
  parameter to the DB2 command '-term utility' will be abbreviated
  using the wildcard character to stay within the allowed length.
