Why is there "java/lang/OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space" in my NCM's JazzSM log?

Question

I tried to startup NCM, but the Presentation server is taking a long time to start.
When I checked the JazzSM logs, I found lots of errors similar to the following:
java/lang/OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space

at com/ibm/ejs/ras/SystemErrStream.createEvent (SystemErrStream.java:252)

at com/ibm/ejs/ras/SystemStream.doPrint (SystemStream.java:764)
How could I resolve the problem?

Answer

The error shows that JazzSM do not have enough memory to start or operate.
If there is sufficient physical memory available, you can increase the memory setting for WebSphere Application Server and Worker server:
Once you increased the memory for the servers, the error will go away.
